All dogs are special.  Senior dogs more so.  But the most special of them all is the senior hound.  She has a wisdom and a depth of character borne of years of hard work and, far too often, neglect or even abuse and yet she has an almost mystical, magical capacity to forgive and love.  It's impossible to lock eyes with an old hound and not feel something in your soul.  Aunt May is that perfect combination of low maintenance and snuggle buddy.  She's low-key, calm and laid back.  Gets along great with other dogs but would prefer canine companionship that reflects her own energy levels.
