This adorable little boy (about 35-40 lbs) wants SO badly to trust and to love people, who haven't always been very nice or cautious with him in his past- we found him in an area kill shelter with a broken leg a few months ago where he had been taken after getting hit by a car. He's all healed up now(LOVES to run inside the fenced yard at his foster home!), but we're listing him as "special needs" because he needs a unique home that will be patient with him as he learns how to love people again. He's VERY sweet and submissive, and shy. New things make him nervous; he loves the comfort and security of his crate. Shotgun gets along fine with other dogs, especially ones that aren't really jumpy and rowdy- they scare him. We don't know how he is with cats due to no exposure, and small children (under about 6 years old) probably would scare him too. All that said, Shotgun IS a sweetheart and by investing some time and love, you'll have the best companion you can possibly imagine! To set up a meet and sniff, just email us- Shotgun is fostered in Baker County; home visit and reference checks are required, and his adoption fee is $125 (far less than we've invested in getting him healthy!)
